William E. "Bill" Hyre

William "Bill" Hyre, age 75, of Sutton, WV died Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Holbrook Healthcare Center. He was born on February 17, 1950, in Wvestshlar, Germany a son of the late William R. and Erna Hartman Hyre. He is survived by two sons: Theran Hyre and wife Kirk of Sutton, WV and Mark and wife Amber Hyre of Gassaway, WV; one stepson: David Bleigh of Elgin, SC; three grandchildren: Cassie, James and Dezel Hyre; two brothers: Ronald "Fuzz" and wife Janet Hyre of Frametown, WV and Marty and wife Peggy Hyre of Rock Cave, WV; one sister: Lynda Anderson of Rock Cave, WV Bill was retired from the United States Postal Service with thirty-five plus years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a veteran of the US Army. Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 10-10:30 AM at which time a procession will depart the funeral home for a graveside service and interment at 11:00 AM at the Rock Cave Cemetery where the Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
