William Jeffers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Midlothian Funeral Home on Dec. 12, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Douglas Jeffers, a man of remarkable character who lived his life with such heart and vibrant energy. Born on April 5, 1937, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, William passed away on December 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and resilience. He was a man of profound wisdom and unmatched dedication, who always had an infectious smile on his face. His journey of 88 years was graced with moments that defined him as a caring brother, a proud grandfather, and a dedicated facilities manager. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." This quote embodies the life and legacy of William.

William was known for his love of his work, dedicating 22 years of his life to serving as a Facilities Manager for the County Government. His commitment to service and community was unparalleled. William also served 12 years in the United States Marine Core. He took pride in his work and believed in the power of contributing to the betterment of his community in Midlothian, TX, where he resided for over a decade. His dedication to his profession was only surpassed by his love for his family. He was a pillar of strength and a beacon of love for them. His family was his pride and joy, cherishing the role of a loving brother and a doting grandfather.

William is survived by his brother, Scott Jeffers, and his grandson, Jeremie Jeffers. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Jeffers, his mother, Jesseye Jeffers, his son, James Jeffers, his brother, Stephen Jeffers, and his step-sister, Laurel Stout. Each of these individuals held a special place in William's heart, and he in theirs. As we mourn the loss of such a vibrant soul, we also celebrate the life he lived. In the words of Albert Pine, "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." William's life epitomized this sentiment.

As we remember William, we invite you to share your memories and photos on his memorial page. Your stories and images will help keep his spirit alive, shining a light on the remarkable life he lived. We encourage you to upload your memories and photos to honor William's legacy and celebrate the life of a man who made a difference in so many lives.

William will be laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on a date yet to be determined.
