Ronald Starnes Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Midlothian Funeral Home on Dec. 9, 2025.
Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Ronald Ernest Starnes on December 7, 2025. Born November 7, 1942, in Dallas, TX, Ronald lived a fulfilling life filled with love, laughter, and loyalty. Ronald's sense of humor lifted the spirits of everyone around him, while his dependability provided comfort to those who knew him.

Ronald's dedication was not only evident in his personal life but also in his professional career. Starting as an apprentice cable splicer in 1962 for Dallas Power and Light (which later became TXU), Ronald's commitment to his work saw him rise through the ranks to become a Distribution Supervisor by 1981. He retired in 2001 after serving the company for nearly four decades.

Ronald found joy in golfing, reading, playing practical jokes, and spending time with his grand-son. Yet, his greatest love was his family. He was a loving father to Lisa Starnes, Sheri (Kevin) Linch, Stacy (Randall) Motes, and Jason Starnes. He was a proud grandfather to Connor Linch and a loyal ex-husband to Juanita Starnes. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents William and Adell Starnes, and his siblings James, Billy, Louise, and Johnnie.

Ronald's spirit will be remembered through shared memories and photos. We encourage all who knew him to contribute to his memorial page, to keep his memory alive.
