William George Jensen, (92) of Kaysville Utah, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, April 9, 2024.

Bill was born to George Bell and June (Christensen) Jensen in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 1, 1931. He attended South High School in Salt Lake City, graduating in 1948. He then joined the United States Air Force at Fort Douglas Utah, in 1950. He served honorably in the Korean Conflict, December 1951  to November 1953, stationed on a small Japanese island, Okinoerabujima, near Okinawa.

He returned to the United States and married his wife, Inez Coreen (Homer) Jensen, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on July 2nd, 1954. They subsequently lived in Rome, New York, as he finished his military service. He and Coreen then returned to Utah, where he finished his studies at the University of Utah. He graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences / Electrical Engineering in June, 1957.

His civilian career began with Sperry, as an Electrical Engineer. He then began work for the United States Air Force, at Hill Air Force Base. In 1994, Bill retired from the Army Corps of Engineers, where he finished his 31 years of service to his country.

Bill was talented at photography, developing his own negatives and film in a dark room he built at his home in Bountiful, Utah. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, rebuilding cars; and especially tending his tomato plants and fruit trees, leaving behind a legacy of stone fruit trees for future generations to enjoy.
