William Frank Johnson, age 81, of Iron City, GA, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at the home of his son.
Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Mark Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Justin Johnson, Matt Draper,
Dane Draper, and John Kicklighter serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Seminole County Warpath on Cancer c/o Jan Taylor, 200 West 10th Street, Donalsonville, GA 39845.
Mr. Johnson was born in Bushnell, FL on August 11, 1943, to William Dave Johnson and Correne Howard Johnson. He owned and operated a welding supply company before his retirement.
Mr. Johnson drove race cars for thirty years and exceled at and enjoyed restoring older model cars. Raising show cattle was another of his beloved accomplishments. Mr. Johnson was a member of Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, William Mark Johnson (Pam) of Donalsonville, GA, Tina Hale (AK) of Tallahassee, FL, Trina Draper (Matt) of Tallahassee, FL, and Cori Gill (Jeremy) of Plant City, FL; seven grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, William Dave and Correne Howard Johnson; two sons, Frank Johnson, Jr. and Troy Johnson; and a grandson, Logan Hale.
