Mrs. Stella Mae Strickland, age 85, of Donalsonville, GA passed away on Sunday morning, October 5, 2025 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Brinson City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 PM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Strickland was born on January 2, 1940 to Cleveland and Johnnie Mae Hayes Jackson-Murkerson. Mrs. Strickland worked in medical services with Early-Miller Training Center until she retired. She enjoyed working, cooking and mostly taking care of everyone, she could. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Johnnie Mae Hayes Jackson-Murkerson; her sons, Mike Strickland and Randy Stricklan; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Hoskins (David), Debra Hoskins, Evelyn Strickland, David Strickland and Danny Strickland; her stepchildren, Janet Harrell and Cecil Alphord; her siblings, Clarence Jackson, Madge Ward, Jean Gilbert and Vivian Hoskins. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
