William Curtis "Curt" Johnson, age 36, 121 Gideon St., Jonesville, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, "May the 4th be with him."
Curt was born May 18, 1988 in Spartanburg, he was the loving son of William "Todd" and Anita Fowler Johnson. He was a proud 2006 graduate of Jonesville High School. Curt had previously worked at the South Carolina Department of Corrections-Tyger River Correctional Institute.
He was the husband of Leslie Johnson. Affectionate, caring and sometimes mischievous daddy to Daylyn and Avery Johnson. Adoring brother to Molli Johnson of Pacolet, and doting uncle to her boys, Gavin Ingle, Deklen and Corbin Chadwick. He leaves behind his two favorite aunts, Tolya Hayes (Ray Cleveland) of Easley and Sandy Fowler Fields (Keith Fields). He was the rambunctious leader of his cousins, Hanna Wade, Zach Hayes, Kari Oliver Smalley who was thought to be his twin, and Charlie Fields. Numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who he cherished. He was the apple of his late Granny's eye, Lucille Johnson, and earned his nickname "Wildman" for his untamed and prankish personality from his grandfather, the late William "Sonny" Johnson, Sr. He was the first grandson of the late, Gerald and Juanita Fowler.
The people of Jonesville knew Curt for his famous sense of humor. No matter where he was or if he was unwell, Curt always knew how to make a crowd laugh. There was never a dull moment when Curt was in the room.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville, SC.
