Mr. William Harry (Bill) Johnson Jr. went to be with the lord on the evening of January 2, 2026 just 11 days after his bride, Jane, of 61 years. Born April 11, 1944. Bill was one of 7 children born to Della Catherine Johnson and William Harry Johnson Sr. of Rock Hill, SC.

Bill was preceded in death by his bride, Jane Carroll Johnson; his mother, Della Catherine Johnson, his father, William Harry Johnson Sr.; infant brother, Ronald Johnson; sister, Geraldine Blackmon, and granddaughter, Emersyn Johnson.

Bill is survived by his four children, Cindy Melton, Michele Barrier, Paula Dellinger, and Marty Johnson; 13 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Johnson, and 3 sisters, Frieda Railey, Doris Slaughter and Cathy Hurlocker; numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Bill will be remembered by his loving nicknames that he gave to all of his grandchildren and great grandsons, his love for buttermilk and cornbread, his time and dedication to his family and so much more!

A Celebration Of Life memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:00am at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive friends prior from 10:00am-10:45am. A private inurnment will follow with family only.
