Mr. William Danville Jones, 77, of Bedford, Virginia, departed this life on August 22, 2024 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA, with his loving family by his side

To many who knew him, he was affectionately known as “Bill” and “Nabs." He was a man who loved his family more than anything and had a passion for drag racing, the Pittsburg Steelers, and working outside up until he fell ill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children: Tracy Witcher, Tameka Jones, and Yashika Jones; five brothers: Roy Jones, James Jones, Jack Jones, Eugene Jones, and Calvin Jones; four sisters: Mattie Snead, Kate Wright, Augusta Hudnall, and Mary Jones.

He has left to cherish his memories: his children, Jessica Berger (Cory) of Moneta, VA, Courtney Jones (Deshay Berger) of Huddleston, VA, and Robbin Jones of Indian Orchard, MA; 7 grandchildren: Angelica Carter, Alexis Berger, Camdyn Schoolfield, Robbie Jones (Lucy), Eriq Jones, Kevin Jones, and Steven Jones; 2 great-grandchildren: Marq Jones and Jacq Jones; one sister-in-law: Martha Jones; four very special friends: Muriel Jones, Frank Martin, Lendale Mason, and William Burnette; and a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
