Brainard Funeral Home and Cremation Center - Everest ChapelWilliam Edward Kallenbach, 70, of Schofield, passed away at Aspirus Hospice House on November 21, 2025.
He was born in Medford, Wisconsin on April 10, 1955- the first-born child of Gerald and Evelyn Kallenbach. Bill attended Fairfield Elementary School and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1973. He was a member of the choir and worked on the family farm when not in school. Following graduation, Bill found employment at 4S Glass and Harvey Co in Medford and worked for 25 years at Weathershield's Millwork Plant.
He moved away from Medford in 1999 to Algoma, Wisconsin, where he worked short term at a few shops including Volrath before settling in at the Algoma Net Company where he worked until his retirement in 2021.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford and St. Paul's in Algoma where he participated in the choirs over the years. After moving to Schofield in March 2025, he transferred his membership to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Schofield.
His hobbies included gardening, antiquing, bird watching, music, animals and in recent years- card making and paper crafting.
He is survived by his siblings; Carol Krumm, Schofield, WI, Martin (Janice) Kallenbach, David Kallenbach, Terry (Barbara) Kallenbach all of Medford, WI, Wendy Thompson, Oak Creek, WI, nephews, nieces and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Evelyn Kallenbach, brothers-in-law, Don Krumm and Robert Thompson and sister-in-law, Debbie Kallenbach.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 1351 Grand Avenue, Schofield. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, Aspirus Hospice Care, St Paul's, Algoma or memorials to be designated at a later date.
