Softly falls the light of day,
As our campfire fades away.
Silently, each Scout should ask
Have I done my daily task?
Have I kept my honor bright?
Can I guiltless sleep tonight?
Oh, have I done and have I dared Everything to be prepared?
Yes Bill you have. Rest easy and thank you.
May the Great Scoutmaster of all Scouts be with us until we meet again

To Bill Kane´s Family
I was so sorry to hear of Bill´s passing. He was always a kind and good friend. We both had evening classes at Temple. He frequently drove me home so that I didn´t have to take public transportation. On the way we would talk about our families and teaching experiences. My sister´s family were your neighbors too. My sister Helen Lutz sends her condolences also.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Please take comfort in the words found at 2nd Thessalonians 2 :16,17.

America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The carrier has turned into the wind preparing for your final launch. The plank is in place and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate. A Navy Vietnam Veteran.
