William Robert Kennedy, Jr. ObituaryWILLIAM ROBERT KENNEDY, JR., 74 of Delta, PA died in his home on Thursday, April 3, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Sara Ann (Groves) Kennedy who passed away last summer on the 26th of June.
Born on October 2, 1950 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late William Robert Kennedy, Sr., and Ruth (Michael) Kennedy and a graduate of Glen Burnie High School. William worked as a truck driver for various companies including deliveries of bread and soda. He drove for Royal Crown Cola Company delivering RC Cola and Canada Dry, H&S Bakery and Martin's Famous Rolls. He retired in the spring of 2024 to care for his wife from driving a bus for Harford Transit in Harford County, MD.
William enjoyed camping, boating and long distance travel. He and his late wife would take trips across the country and was very fond of the area of Route #66. He was known to enjoy old western and war movies especially the ones staring John Wayne. He could be found watching Star Trek and had posters adoring the walls of his home. His family finds comfort knowing he is with the love of his life, Sara.
He is survived by:
Four children-
David Lee Kennedy and his wife, Kristina of Abingdon, MD
Robert Joseph Kennedy and his wife, Jamie of Abingdon, MD
Christine Marie Kennedy of Edgewood, MD
Jennifer Kennedy Toledo and her husband, Agustin of Lewisville, TX
Six grandchildren-
Iszac, Kaitlyn, Charlotte, Natalie, Myriam and Gavin
A great granddaughter, Khloee
A sister, Lillian Mustin of Cumberland, MD
He was preceded in death by three siblings: Fred Halford, Rella Short and Edwin Kennedy.
