Mr. William O' Dell Kimberly, 67 of Gadsden, Alabama, was born on March 5, 1958, to Thomas O'dell and Glenda Jenkins Kimberly and passed away on August 20, 2025, at Gadsden Regional Hospital. He is preceded in death by his father.

Dell was born in Clay County, Alabama. He graduated from Susan Moore High School in 1976 and International Bible College in 1979. He lived in Snead, Alabama for the majority of his life. He was known to many as their preacher through the years, spending forty-five years preaching God's word. He had a love for Alabama football and basketball. He was very proud of the children he raised, Kevin and Karla. He had a very personable personality and rarely missed an opportunity to make a connection or make others around him laugh. He had a wealth of Bible knowledge and could explain biblical concepts easily. He preached thousands of sermons and baptized many. His favorite verse was John 14:1-3 and he ended many sermons with, "May we all try to live our lives to get to heaven and take as many people as we can with us."

Dell lived on mission to help others. He was always there for members of his church and community during their time of need. He was a friend to the less fortunate and would truly give others the shirt off his own back.

He is survived by his mother, Glenda Kimberly, ex-wife and mother of his children Robbi Kimberly, son Kevin Kimberly (Julie) and daughter Karla Scivner (James), grandchildren, Drennen Scrivner, Jaxon Kimberly, Maxwell Scivner, Katie Kimberly, Mary Grace Kimberly, John Thomas Kimberly, and sister, Anita Pate (Steve).

Wayne Dunaway will conduct the Funeral Service on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Snead Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, on Sunday beginning at 1:00 PM.

Scott Bonner, Jim Scrivner, Steven Pate, Jimmy Man, Max Scrivner, Jerry Man, Drennen Scrivner, and Jaxon Kimberly have been asked to serve as Pallbearers.

Snead Funeral Home is humbled to serve the Kimberly Family!
