Glenda Jenkins Kimberly, a dedicated and beloved member of the Snead community, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on December 1, 1939, Glenda was known for her unwavering faith, kindness, and contagious laughter, which brought joy to all who knew her.

For seventeen years, Glenda served as the Court Clerk for the Town of Snead, exemplifying her commitment to her work and the residents she served. Her professional demeanor was matched only by her vibrant personality; she was a loving individual who consistently made efforts to bring smiles to others' faces.

Glenda's interests were diverse and reflected her creative spirit. She had a profound love for flowers and landscaping, which she nurtured through her beautiful garden. Additionally, she enjoyed playing cards, collecting shoes, and storytelling, where her captivating anecdotes could light up any room. Her artistic flair was further showcased in her time spent engaging in arts and crafts, particularly with her dear friend Myra Benefield. An avid tennis player, Glenda also embraced physical activity with enthusiasm.

Her faith was an integral part of her life, as she was a dedicated Christian. This faith guided her through life's challenges and was a source of strength for her family and friends.

Glenda leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Pate (Steve), and her grandchildren: Karla Scrivner (Jim), Kevin Kimberly (Julie), Elizabeth McRee (Aron), and Steve Pate (Emily). Her great-grandchildren, Jaxon Kimberly, Mary Grace Kimberly, Katie Caroline Kimberly, Drennen Scrivner, Max Scrivner, Pate McRee, and John Thomas Kimberly, brought her immense joy in her later years. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Summerlin, her brother, John Jenkins (Joy), and her sister-in-law, Susan Jenkins.

Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommy Kimberly; her son, William Odell Kimberly; her father, Fred Hoyt Jenkins; her mother, Grace Robert Jenkins; and her brother, Arthur Fred Jenkins.

A visitation will be held on January 18, 2026, at Snead Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM. Glenda will be laid to rest at a burial service in Horton, AL, starting at 3:30 PM.

Glenda Jenkins Kimberly's legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
