Bill helped me complete my internship virtually while my family was stationed overseas. I´d exhausted all of the local options, which were few, and FSCJ was doing almost nothing to help me find an acceptable alternative...Bill to the rescue! He immediately agreed to figure out the logistics of a virtual internship and was a delight to work with every step of the way. He is truly THE reason I was able to graduate on time instead of having to wait until we moved back stateside to complete my internship in person, 2 years late. He was excited when he heard I was from Portland, as his daughter was living there at the time. He spoke so highly of her every time we were on a phone call. I was saddened to hear of his passing, especially as late as I did, and I hope that his family is doing well. I feel grateful to have known him!

It was a pleasure knowing and working with Mr William Kintz, LCSW. He not only helped me during my internship at FSU but also to become one of the best social workers in Jacksonville. His words of inspiration education, and encouragement will always be instilled in my life and career. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.

I worked with Bill at the College of Social Work at FSU. As a staff member, I found Bill to have energy and enthusiasm for the profession that was just contagious. He was one of the warmest and kindest people I was privileged to know since working with the college now for over a decade. He always had a warm greeting and a kind word whenever I saw him. We will miss his presence at the college very much.

Bill was an amazing man. I remember when I first met him as a prospective intern in undergrad; 4 years later, he continued to guide me in reaching my goals.
Bill was warm and kind and provided me with encouragement from one. I loved hearing about the cats and his experiences.
I will truly miss him.

I met Bill when I was assigned to him during my field internship at FSU. He later supervised me while I worked on becoming a LCSW. Bill and I would meet for breakfast at Cracker Barrell every few months to check in with each other. I loved hearing stories about his family, friends, and church parish. He was both a great friend and the best mentor I could ever ask for. I valued and cherished every moment I spent with him. He is a true angel. Thank you Bill for your friendship and your guidance. I will miss your advice, but will speak to you in my prayers.

Along with many before and after me, Bill was a long-time mentor and once advisor. He shaped my approach as a social worker at an early step in my career. In recent years, I trusted he followed my career from a distance, but I always knew he was cheering me on. His endearing "kiddo" and quips about life always lifted my day. He was a wonderful man and we are all so lucky to have learned from him.
My deepest condolences to the social work community and most importantly, to his family. Thank you for sharing Bill with us all.

I met Bill as a co-worker at FSU. Three of us remote faculty would meet together once a month for breakfast, and Bill was always smiling big and telling corny Dad jokes. He wanted everyone he met to feel seen, heard, and special, including the servers who came to take our order. He always brought us a bag of cookies or candy from the Ukranian grocery store by his house, and we could count on a funny GIF or meme being texted to us a few times a week to bring a laugh to a stressful day. He cared about his students and his work right up to his very last day on earth, and I am sure he will have a lasting impact on everyone who knew him and worked with him.
He also loved his family so much and talked about them often. He was so proud of his children.
My dad is very ill right now, and Bill was flying up to Indiana to see his family, and he offered to go see my dad in the hospital up there and pray for him. I was so touched by his offer. That is just the kind of man he was--always caring about others. I am glad our paths crossed, Bill. Enjoy your eternal reward because you've certainly earned it.

My condolences to his family during this time. Be hopeful and know, even though he will be greatly missed, he is now in a much better place. God bless the family. Prayers for you all.

I worked with Bill for years at the FSU College of Social Work. Because he wasn't based in Tallahassee, I didn't really get to know him that well initially. All that changed during the early days of the pandemic. I was working with the faculty union (UFF) to call all faculty members to check-in and see how they and their students were doing. Bill was on my list of people to call since we both were in social work. When I called him, we ended up talking for over an hour. In addition to talking about how the pandemic was impacting our students and us, we talked about a wide range of topics. I learned about his early days in a union. We talked about our families and the future of social work. At the end of the call, we schedule time to talk again--this time by video conference. We zoomed a couple weeks later. It was wonderful to make a friend during the pandemic. I will always remember his kindness, laughter, and positive outlook that he shared in the early months of the pandemic. Bill later became a union steward for the faculty union, and I know that his energy and passion were contagious among other union members. He is greatly missed.

Everyone at Naval Station Mayport Chapel appreciated Deacon Bill's many assists over the years. Always so darn friendly, with a big smile.
Occasionally we crossed paths during breakfast hours at Johnny Angel's, and even if he didn't recall my name Bill would meander over to say hello and add a quick quip.
The world needs more people like Bill Kintz. My condolences to his family as they remember their genuine treasure.

Bill was our family´s dear friend and neighbor for 25 years. We cherished the times we went out to eat together on a regular basis. He was always there for all of us. I wanted to be around him because of his strong faith and positive attitude. Whenever I had a problem or concern, he would take time to pray with me and make things feel all better. We love you and miss you Bill.

William Louis Bill Kintz is a father figure to me. His mentorship and support influenced me positively throughout my internship with DCF and beyond. The love that he shared, the smiles, the laughter - all created pillars that sailed everyone through. A week before he had gone to be with the lord, I visited him in his office and we spoke at length, not knowing that was the last conversation with him. I'm going to miss him dearly. I'm crying no more because I know he has transitioned to glory to be with our lord Jesus Christ.

It is my great honor to be able to say that William Louis Kintz was my friend. Bill Kintz was faithful to the Lord God in his service to His church. He was faithful to his students by his continual mentoring and support. He was faithful to his children by his deep love and continual prayer for them. He was faithful to his friends and co-workers by his cheerful demeanor and willingness to do whatever he could to make their life happier, sweeter, productive, and rewarding.
Bill Kintz has gone home to be with God. I will miss him. Yet, I am confident that if I see anyone at Heaven's gate on that great day I will see my friend, William Louis Kintz.

I remember Bill as my Dad's best friend growing up. He liked to come over with his talking car and eat all the potato chips. Years passed and I found myself trekking across country, homeless and hungry. He took time out of his day to meet with me and buy me breakfast. I knew things would be okay be cause our lord led me to you one last time so I could say goodbye. May God Bless You Bill...Rest in Peace.

Bill and I met 42 years ago when I was a cop walking a beat and he was the neighborhood social worker. He would explain to acquaintances when introducing me that he knew all the snot nose kids and I knew all their parents. He has been a confidant, a cohort and a friend for more than half my life and will be truly missed.

Bill was a great friend and kind hearted teacher. He loved to share with others and help others. Hope he is on the fast track to heaven.
We shared many good times at St. Ephrem's & with the Knights of Columbus. Learned so much (and ate so good) at the after Mass dinners with Fr. Darius, professor Gabe & other guests.
God bless Bill.
