William Kleber Obituary

William Daniel "Dan" Kleber, 63, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on November 23, 2025. Born on August 6, 1962, in Seymour, he was the son of John and Jessie (Juett) Kleber.

Dan grew up in Seymour alongside his brothers-Chris, Jeff, and Warren-and graduated from Seymour High School in 1982. A proud Seymour Owl, he played basketball during his high school years and carried that love of sports throughout his life. Dan loved spending time with his brothers and cousins, with every old story starting with himself and; a brother, a Cottingham, or an old high school friend.

Dan worked at Jackson-Jennings Co-op and then Polley Building Supply before pursuing his passion for craftsmanship by founding his own business, Kleber Construction. A hardworking and skilled builder, he spent many years improving homes and helping families in his community. In recent years, he enjoyed smaller side projects and especially cherished the time he spent painting with his brother Jeff.

Above all, Dan's greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted and proud father to his three children-Katie, Ben, and Jamie-and loved cheering them on in every sport, activity, and milestone of life. He coached whenever he could and later found deep happiness watching his grandchildren on the field or court and talking about their every accomplishment. Dan also loved fishing, a pastime that brought him peace and time to reflect.

In his younger years, he often helped his father with painting jobs and spent time working on his Uncle Punky Bill's farm-experiences that shaped his strong work ethic and love for hands-on projects.

Dan was baptized at First Baptist Church, Seymour, on April 2, 1978. His love for Jesus Christ helped shape the way he lived and how he cared for his family. In 1997, he became a member of First Marion Baptist Church, Commiskey, where he guided his children to know, love, and develop their own relationship with Christ.

Dan is survived by his children, Katie (Drew), Ben (Kirby), and Jamie (Chris); his grandchildren, Tyson, Gage, Cooper, Maci Belle, Emma Kate, Braxton, McKenzie, Jackson, and Dani; his brothers, Chris (Jenny) and Jeff (Bonita); and many nephews, nieces, and cousins that he loved deeply.

Dan will be remembered for his steady kindness, his dedication to his family, his craftsmanship, and the countless ways he showed up for the people he loved.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Voss & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Voss & Sons, with burial to follow at the First Marion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Marion Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 7730 W. County Rd 850 S, Paris Crossing, IN 47270.
