William Kniceley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heishman Funeral Home, Inc. (formerly Dellinger) - Woodstock on Jan. 31, 2026.
The staff at Heishman Funeral Home, inc. sends condolences to the family of William "Will" Cody Kniceley.

On January 28, 2026, the Lord above decided he needed another precious angel. Rex, Will's stepfather, and his Pop Pop Joe (grandfather), were there to welcome him with open arms. Will became a blessing to his mother, Patty, on April 15, 1994. He was raised to be an extremely compassionate son with a huge, giving heart. His stepfather, Rex, came home from the hospital ill and was admitted to hospice care. Will didn't think twice about stepping in. He moved in to assist his mother and took over night shift care so Patty could get some much-needed rest. They worked together during the day to care for sweet Rex, alternating with family. After Rex's passing, Will never left his mother's side. He lived his life to make others happy. He was immensely dedicated to his job managing Safety & Security at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital. His dedication and incredible work ethic superseded his short 31 years. He was extremely well liked and respected by patients, colleagues, and doctors. Will has been called the "animal whisperer" by his family and friends. He fed deer to the point that he could almost feed them out of his hand. They knew he was their friend. The sweet pups he shared with his mom, Scarlett, Kiya, and Chancey greeted him warmly when he returned home from work. The eight outdoor cats always showed him affection knowing he was bringing home food, snacks and love. All the animals knew they could always count on him. Will was born in Fairfax, VA on April 15, 1994, and spent most of his formative years in North Port, FL. He moved with his family to Shenandoah County and graduated from Central High School in 2012. Will is survived by his loving mother, Patty Fadeley of Edinburg, sister April Busche of Rushville, IN, brother Patrick Myers of Orlando, FL and his girlfriend Hunter Belle Manion of Front Royal, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends that will mourn his passing.

On Friday, February 6, 2026, there will be a service at Antioch Covenant Brethren Church at 2:00pm. Interment will be private at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Dale Bennett will officiate. Pallbearers include Mike Fadeley, Billy Fadeley, J.J. Ritenour, Brayden Ritenour, Dylan Stoneburner, and Lee Dean. Will's love, warmth, compassion, smile, and personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
