Rev. William Hunter Knowles, 53, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on September 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on May 3, 1972, to Diane Smith and Billy Knowles, William's life was dedicated to deep faith, unwavering devotion, and steadfast love for his family and the Lord. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas Houston Cordell, and his paternal grandmother, Virginia Allen. On September 24, 2005, William married the love of his life, Jennifer Michele Knowles. Together, they built a remarkable 20-year marriage, filled with joy, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to each other. Their love story is a true example of love lived out in daily life. William was a proud and devoted father to Chandler and Bailey, and he had many honorary sons and daughters who looked to him as a father figure in their lives. He was so loved by his grandmother, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Beyond his immediate family, William's influence extended far and wide. He faithfully served as the pastor of The Pentecostals of Phenix City for 13 years, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, humility, and a genuine desire to see lives transformed by the power of Christ. To the many he led, he was not only a pastor but also a counselor, a friend, and a living embodiment of God's grace. Those who knew William fondly remember his humor, warm smile, and steadfast prayers. His legacy of faith and family will continue to inspire generations to come. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather and honor a life well-lived in service to God and others.
