William C. Kuhn, Jr., of Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He was 85 years old. Bill, as he was known by his family and friends, was born on March 8, 1939 to the late William C. Kuhn, Sr. and the late Dorothy (née Bauerle) Kuhn. He was the husband to Dolores (née McVeigh) Kuhn with whom he is survived by.
Bill worked for the US Postal Service for 38 years. He was a dedicated mail carrier and supervisor. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Seniors Club at St. Albert the Great Parish. He organized trips with the senior club because of his love of travel and good food. He also enjoyed playing cards especially pinochle and poker. His most loved pastime was his daily "Happy Hour" drinking martinis with the love of his life, his wife, Dolores.
Along with his wife Dolores, Bill is survived by his children: Karen A. Fazio, Joseph J. Jakel, John C. Kuhn (Colleen), Kathleen A. Gorman (Michael), his grandchildren: Kenneth Fazio, William Fazio, Lauren Kuhn, Matthew Kuhn, Sean Gorman, Timothy Gorman, his great grandchildren: Luke Fazio, Hunter Fazio, Lucy Fazio, and his nephew: Joseph Hemberger. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Hemberger and his nephew: John Hemberger.
Relatives and friends are invited to Bill's Life Celebration on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. followed by his memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Albert the Great R.C. Church, 212 Welsh Rd. Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Interment will be private.
Family services are entrusted to the John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home, 215-281-0100.
