William C. Lansinger

William C. Lansinger, 87, passed away November 25, 2012.

He was born in Mogadore and was a life resident of the area. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and married his sweetheart Rita Elmerick on June 22, 1946. He retired from General Tire and Rubber Company as a stationery engineer after 42 years of service and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by brother, Harold; and sister, Naomi McCloskey. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rita; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rodger Sansom, Deb and Norm Lingle, Barb and Mark Shull; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Crystal and son, Dave Lansinger; grandchildren, Brian (Shannon), Nick (Marilyn), Erin (Michael), Michael (Michelle), Matthew, Sarah, William, Mark and Benjamin; eight great grandchildren; and sister, June Brown of Norwalk.

A memorial mass will be held Thursday 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Street, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Father Don Serva celebrating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mogadore Rescue Squad, 135 S. Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio 44260.
