William J. Lauffer

William "Bill" James Lauffer, 84, of Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024. He was born on March 27, 1940, in Greensburg, PA, to Doyle and Clara (Hutton) Lauffer. Bill is survived by his beloved spouse, Anna; his four children, William James Lauffer, Jr., Gary Allen Lauffer, Dennis James Lauffer, and Cathy Ann (Dan) Lauffer; grandchildren, Brooke Lauffer, Stone Lauffer, Dustin (Shannen) Lauffer, and Brock Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Bailee and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bob, Ed, Doyle Jr., Ralph, Donald, Albert, Charles, Jean, Alice, and Betty. Bill worked as a farmer for Turner's Dairy for 32 years. He and his brothers worked on the farm since they were children and spent 27 years milking cows by hand. Bill was dedicated to his work and the animals whom he loved very dearly. Bill will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his daughter, Cathy, with whom he shared many cherished memories. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at BASH-NIED-JOBE FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381). A blessing service will follow on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
