William was born in Paterson, NJ to the late William H. and Ruth (nee VanDyk) Lederle.
Cherished husband for over 60 years to the late Beverly (nee Postly) (2023). Beloved father of Dawn Hardgrove and her husband Eric. Treasured grandfather of Kaitlyn Alyssa and Eric William Hardgrove.
William enjoyed spending time with his family, watching TV and movies and listening to oldies music. He loved King Kong, JFK, reading joke books, and listening to his favorite talk radio programs. He also loved collecting autographs and comic books. He enjoyed sending in funny joke ideas to various cartoonists and magazines and had his name published many times as credit for his work. He will be greatly missed but will be forever in our hearts.
Services are private and entrusted to Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in William's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation 500 Sylvan Ave, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632
