William "Bill" Linton, 78, of Waldo, AR passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on June 28, 1947, in Magnolia, AR to the late Doy Lester and Blanche Bernice (Corley) Linton. He worked for many years as a brine field pumper, retiring from Albemarle.
He was a member of the Antioch West Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, farming, and playing solitaire on his phone. He was a devout family man who loved spending his time with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Linton of Waldo; children, Jan Simpson of Waldo, Ellen Wallace (Joey) of Texarkana, Matt Linton (Mara) of Waldo, and Robbie Linton (Aspyn) of Waldo; grandchildren, Ryan Simpson, Wes Simpson (Paola), Tyler Linton, Ethan Linton (Bailey), Haley Adams (Jared), Lesley Wallace, Gracie Linton, Bubba Linton, and Baylor Linton; great grandchildren, Sawyer Adkins, Kynlee Simpson, Layne Hudson, Austin Adams, Presley Belin, Grayson Simpson, and Allie Mae Adams; sister, Dora Aldridge of Waldo; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Antioch West Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Bullock officiating. Burial will be in the Greers Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Linton, Wes Simpson, Tyler Linton, Ryan Simpson, Bubba Linton, and Dillon Blackwell. Honorary pallbearers will Jared Adams, Rodney Dyson, Glenn Hess, Glen Brasher, and Jackson Hanson.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
