William F. Lore of New Rochelle, NY, passed away on October 14, 2025. He was 86 years old.
Born to Frank and Mattie Lore, William was one of fourteen children. He graduated from New Rochelle High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army.
William met the love of his life, Norma, through his nephew. The two married and together raised two sons, building a life centered around love, laughter, and family. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, William was known for his strong family values and generous spirit.
He worked for many years as an oil burner mechanic with HESS and Schildwachter. A man of faith, he was a longtime parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church in New Rochelle.
William was also an avid animal lover who dedicated his time to rescuing and rehabilitating animals of all kinds.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Norma. William is survived by his sons, William (Elizabeth) Lore and Mark (Caterina) Lore; and his cherished grandchildren, David, Josephine, Cristian, and Dylan.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Williams life will be held on Thursday October 16, 2025, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY. A graveside service will follow on Friday October 17, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Beechwoods Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY.
