William Louthan Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 19, 2024.
HALTOM CITY - William "Bill" Fred Louthan, 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
Funeral: 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in Mount Olivet Chapel. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 23 at Mount Olivet in the Breyley Room. Interment: Pilot Point Community Cemetery, 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 24.
Bill was passionate about helping those in the community and abroad. Bill would collect donated softball equipment and host softball tournaments throughout the Philippines. Bill was also an animal lover his entire life; a trait that he passed down to his children. You never knew what new animal Billy Fred would bring home.
It was Bill on the Grill for 53 years at a local Haltom City restaurant, Clown Burger. When Bill was not cooking burgers at the restaurant, he was catering school carnivals, donating his time and services to church festivals, making food deliveries, and always looking for opportunities to bless the community through his burgers. Bill also knew how to make people laugh and is known for being a very generous, kind hearted man.
Bill loved to travel the world but his most favorite place was to Galveston. He created a love for Galveston Island that has been passed down to his entire family. Bill was also very passionate about his dog, Dixie. You never saw one without the other. Bill and Dixie's favorite place to share a meal was Whataburger, which they visited frequently. Bill and his youngest daughter, Marissa, shared a love for green depression glass and spent many hours in and out of antique stores gathering new pieces to add to their collection.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Frances Louthan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Rosita Louthan; daughters, Kari Snodgrass and Philip, and Jennifer Kawcak and John; son, Brandon Louthan; daughter, Marissa Black and Zach; grandchildren, Meagan, Hayley, Skyler and Sage; three great-grandchildren; extended family in the Philippines; and numerous family and friends.
Here are life lessons that have been instilled in Bill's family that they would like to share with everyone; work hard without cutting corners, travel whenever you can, and you're never too old to be a kid.

I met Bill when he was 18. He and my Sister Billy Hankins worked together at the original Clown Burger. George and Mary were owners then. Always a hard working man. R I P with them they are all in Heaven.

Bill was my daughter´s first softball coach. You could tell by the look on his face and the sparkle in his eyes that he was a very kind soul. RIP Bill and blessings to his family.
