William "Skeet" Howard Lowery, Jr., 67, of Amarillo, TX passed away April 17, 2023.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 24, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, with Dr. Paul Richardson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
William was born February 27, 1956, in Amarillo, TX to William "Sonny" Howard Lowery, Sr. and Mary Astor Wilburn. He graduated from McLean High School and was a member of Rockwell Baptist Church. William worked in construction and assisted in building I-40 when he was younger. He then worked with his father at Texas Sand and Gravel for several years before he decided to open his own company, Scarecrow of Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Howard Lowery, Sr.; mother, Mary Johnson; stepmother, Janetta Lee Lowery; and sister, Pamela Oldham.
William is survived by his wife, Dianne Lowery of Amarillo; brother, Rick Lowery (Dana) of Amarillo; daughters, Sonya Williams (Vincent) of Denison, Tabatha Lowery of Lubbock, and Nichole Lair (Abigail) of Amarillo; sons, Jaysun Lowery (Ashley) of Fritch and Cody Carlson (Rory Schepisi) of Bushland; grandchildren, Lenora Sim, Daniella Padilla, Waylon Lowery, Damien Lowery (Kelsie), Makenzee Bain (Sean), Abbigail Lowery, Natalie Lowery, Sunny Lowery, Huxlee Lowery, and Hannah Carlson; great-grandchildren, Zayleigh, Zane, Zariah, Sterling, Avery, Jaxsun, Sean Jr., and Colt; and nieces and nephews, Jessica Lowery, Monica Sharp (Jon), Dustin Ebankamp (Sara), Levi Oldham, and Clint Oldham.
