William John MacRitchie, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 69. He was born on September 7, 1956, in Montpelier, VT. Bill was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud graduate of Montpelier High School.
Bill dedicated his career to the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles, where he served as a Test Examiner. His commitment to his work and the community was evident in all that he did. He was a diligent member of the Montpelier Fire Department's call force, known for his dedication and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a clean truck that he took great pride in.
In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed the outdoors, particularly shooting and hunting, which he reflected his deep appreciation for nature and the beauty of Vermont.
William is survived by his brother, Kenneth MacRitchie, who will ensure his legacy lives on among family and friends.
A celebration of Bill's life will take place at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share cherished stories.
