William Joseph Maher

William "Billy" Maher passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, in Englewood, New Jersey.

Billy was born on January 31, 1957, in New York. At the age of 12 he moved to Englewood, New Jersey, where he was raised in the care of the late Rita Rogers and Kevin Westphal, who played important roles in his life.

Billy attended St. Cecilia's High School and later continued his education at Bergen Community College, where he earned his college degree.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Billy spent 40 years employed at Englewood Hospital, working as a cook in the kitchen. He was well known and deeply respect by his coworkers for his reliability, kindness, and strong work ethic. Billy took great pride in his work and the relationships he built over the years.

Billy had a love for baseball and bowling and greatly enjoyed spending time doing the things he loved. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, loyalty, and the quiet joy to those he brought to those around him.

William "Billy" Maher is survived by his beloved cousin, Kevin Westphal, along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

Billy will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
