Mike was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Melvin Bobby Joe Massingale and Virginia JoAnn Massingale.
He is survived by his two daughters, Virginia Long (Ethan Hancock) and Samantha Massingale (Trey Townsend) who brought him endless joy. Mike was a proud grandfather to his five grandchildrenEvans Johnson, Andrew Long, Brooklyn Long, Logan Johnson, Elijah Townsend each of whom held a special place in his heart. In addition to his immediate family, Mike is survived by his cherished grandmother, Odessa Melinda Haney Massingale, and his siblings: Steve (Becky) Massingale, Rebecca (Davey) Smith, Bobby Lynn (Marcia) Massingale, and Barbara (John) Derrick.
