William J. McCormick

William J. McCormick, 88, of Narragansett RI and Melbourne Beach FL, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. Mr. McCormick and his wife, Janice C. (Wroe) McCormick had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Born in Providence RI, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Tenbrink) McCormick.
Mr. McCormick dedicated himself to family throughout his life. Volunteering for youth organizations and traveling in their camper throughout the East Cost with his family. When home he enjoyed fishing, boating and shell fishing. His early career was in management with a local grocery chain and later in life retired from the insurance industry.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, William M. McCormick and his wife Paula, and Steven J. McCormick and his wife Cyndy, his grandchildren Meagan Caster and her husband Jason, William P. McCormick and Molly McCormick, and a brother, Arthur McCormick. He was the brother of the late Ellen McCormick, Patricia Kirkpatrick, June
Maguire and Joseph McCormick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 11 AM at The Chapel of Our Lady of the Star, Christian Brothers Center, 635 Ocean Road, Narragansett, RI. Visitation will take place from 9:45 to 10:45 AM in the church prior to mass. Burial will be private.
