William Sid McCoy, age 29, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away on October 29, 2025, at St Mary's Medical Center, in Huntington, WV.

Sid was born in Point Pleasant on January 11, 1996, to Artie and Lori Woodall McCoy. Sid was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and spent several years working on towboats on the Ohio and Kanawha Rivers.

He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors, and from an early age he would spend his time outside in the dirt collecting worms and anything else he could find. He loved nature, he loved to run and workout and was a huge bicycle fan, he would go through 5 or 6 bikes a year and he would ride them everywhere. When he was younger, he loved to race around on four-wheelers with his buddies doing what boys do.

Sid loved his family and was his mother's protector. He was always on the lookout making sure she was not being harassed or bothered. He was a very generous soul and would give anything he had to someone he felt needed it.

Sid is preceded in death by his sister Andrya Jordan, grand-parents, Randall and Shirley Woodall and Jack McCoy, uncles, Magoo Woodall, Chuck Woodall, David McCoy and J.L. McCoy, and cousins, Ashton Jones and Kennedy Woodall.

Surviving he leaves behind his parents, Artie and Lori McCoy, Grandmother Carolyn McCoy, his niece and special friend, Libby Wroten, aunts and uncles, Randy (Michelle) Woodall, Jimmy (Trinity) McCoy, Karla (Brian) Jones, Jessica Woodall and Jackie McCoy-Sinnett, along with many cousins and friends that will all deeply miss him.

Services for Sid will be Monday November 3, 2025, at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm and funeral service, officiated by Pastor Justin Moran at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
