William G. "Bill" McCutchan,
Age 92, of Canton, passed away Mon., Oct. 20, 2025. He was born Apr. 8, 1933, in Crawford, WV, a son of the late Philip and Opal (Powers) McCutchan. Bill served with the U.S. Army and retired from the Timken Company.
Bill is survived by his wife Jonell McCutchan, whom he married on Christmas Eve at Camp Polk, LA. He is also survived by two daughters, Debra (Robert) Gray and Donna McCutchan; three sons, Bill McCutchan, Jr., James (Kimberly) McCutchan and John (Pamela) McCutchan; and five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lisa) McCutchan and their children, Gabriel and Gavin, Brandon (Alyssa) McCutchan, Breanna (Ryen) Meese, Dawn (John) Perry, and Zachary McCutchan, as well as extended family.
Bill and Jo enjoyed traveling and camping across the United States and Canada, including a weeks-long drive to Alaska, and at their campground property near Carrollton. He also enjoyed woodworking and projects around the house. Crafting outside decorations for Christmas and decorating the grandchildren's rooms with school mascots and cartoon characters were favorite projects. He also proudly supported his children and grandchildren in their activities and athletic endeavors.
Services will be held Fri. at 11am in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Thurs. from 5-7pm in the funeral home. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
