William Ernest McDonald, 83, husband of Laura Harkins McDonald, of Easley, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Born in Pickens Co., he was the son of the late Earl and Margaret Guest McDonald.
Mr. McDonald loved to study God's word and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and adored his family and was an avid fisherman.
He retired from Michelin as a lab technician and also proudly served with the U.S. Navy for four years.
In addition to his loving wife of 43 years, Mr. McDonald is survived by daughters, Cheryl Looper (Jimmy) and Lisa Adcox (Michael), both of Easley; a brother, Charles McDonald (Robbie) of Hilton Head, SC; grandchildren, Jameson Looper (Erin) and Graham Adcox (Caitlyn); and a great-grandson, Weston Looper. He is also survived by a special cousin Randall Stewart and his best friend and fishing buddy, Boyce Revis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2022 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2022 at the funeral home.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Manna Post Acute and Traditions Hospice for their loving care.
The family will be at the residence of Cheryl and Jimmy Looper.
