WILLIAM JOSEPH MCDONALD

McDONALD, William Joseph Age 80, of Hanover, MA, passed away peacefully, on January 21, 2026. William was born on February 22, 1945, in Amesbury, MA, to the late Gerald and Anastasia (Hession) McDonald. He graduated from Boston College with a degree in Economics. He worked for the Medical Information Bureau for many years, as a computer systems analyst. Bill was a golfer and enjoyed watching and following local sports teams, especially the Patriots and Bruins. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. He cherished his trips to Disney World with his children and grandchildren in particular. Bill is survived by his wife, Joyce (Grieco) McDonald of Hanover; and his two daughters and three grandchildren. His daughter, Melissa Dempster of Canton, with her husband, Dave; and their two children, David and Sarah. His daughter, Courtney Schweizer of Natick, with her husband, Julian; and their daughter, Kayla. He was predeceased by his siblings, Gerald McDonald, Robert McDonald and Richard McDonald. The family will welcome family, friends and loved ones during Calling Hours on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 9AM to 9:45AM, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street Rte. 53, HANOVER, MA, with a Funeral Mass in honor of William's life to follow at 10:00AM, at Our Lady of the Angels Parish - St. Mary's, 392 Hanover St. Rte. 139, Hanover.
