William Daniel McGarrity Jr. (76), loving father, brother, friend, and Paw Paw, was born February 17, 1949, in Abilene, Texas and passed away peacefully May 7, 2025, in Houston, Texas. He is preceded by his wife of 17 years Sheri Lynne McGarrity, son Michael Nicholas McGarrity, and parents William Daniel McGarrity Sr. & Katherine Allen McGarrity.

William is survived by his son Matthew Todd McGarrity & spouse Nguyet, daughters Lauren Michelle McGarrity & spouse Derrell Claspill, Lenora Danielle Weller & spouse Jason, brother David McGarrity & spouse Karla, and sister Tina Hutchings & spouse Bill, grandchildren Rei McGarrity, Lukas McGarrity, Christopher McGarrity, Chloe Faul, Claire Faul, Braelynn Weller, Jaycelynn Weller, Emily Weller, Grace Weller, great grandchildren Carter McGarrity, Davion McGarrity, and nephew Thomas McGarrity.

William, known affectionately to all as Danny, possessed a deep passion for life evident in his love for cars, racing, fishing, and antiques. However, his greatest joy and defining achievement was undeniably his role as "Paw Paw." This title extended beyond his biological grandchildren to embrace others he welcomed into his heart, including Stephen, Ryan, Rachel, Thomas, and David, among many others. To know Danny was to know the profound love he held for his grandchildren and to be intimately familiar with their every activity and accomplishment. He enthusiastically attended their practices and events, cherishing every moment spent with them. He created lasting adventures and was a steadfast source of support, always ready to lend a hand.

In 1983, Danny married Sheri, and together they raised three children. A devout man, he served as an ordained minister for the Pentecostal Church of God and as a Chaplain for the Harris County Prison Ministry. Following Sheri's passing in 2000, Danny remained a widower, dedicating himself to raising his children with immense pride and making countless sacrifices. He was a truly exceptional father, consistently present and supportive, celebrating all of their achievements and offering unwavering assistance. His willingness to help knew no bounds; "no" was simply not in his vocabulary when it came to his children.

In his later years, Danny found pleasure in the world of antiques, diligently collecting and trading. He possessed a keen eye and an insatiable desire for the next unique piece, always on the hunt for something special or a valuable upgrade.
