William James McKee, age 56, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Mabank, Texas. He was born on August 8, 1969, to parents, Ronald McKee and Dorothy Lian.
Bill was a remarkable soul known for his honest and laid-back demeanor, making a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Bill’s life was rich with laughter, music, and a genuine love for his family.
Bill was proud of his five kids. With a heart full of devotion, he created many cherished memories with them. Whether it was letting his daughter Stephanie straighten his hair or assisting her in getting her first car, Bill was always there to lend a hand. He had a penchant for adventure, often joining Jamie on escapades to buy used cars, rolling with the punches as they navigated through various shenanigans together. He even took Wayne out to open fields, fostering a sense of fun and freedom as he let him drive his go-kart.
A man of simple pleasures, Bill loved music and was rarely found without a tune playing in the background. His interests included watching wrestling, football, and American Chopper, activities that brought him joy and provided countless moments of entertainment.
Bill's personality shone brightly in every interaction. Outgoing and approachable, he had a way of making people feel at ease. One of his favorite mottos, inspired by a song, was TCB, which stood for "taking care of business." This was a reflection of his approach to life, doing what needed to be done while keeping the atmosphere light and enjoyable.
Bill is preceded in death by his dad, Ronald McKee; grandparents, Roy and Virginia Brawner; aunts, Marie Talley, and Viola Angeles; uncles, Buster Eskew, and Donald Brawner, and cousin, Tony Eskew.
