William Duran McMillian, age 92, passed away peacefully at home in Grayson, Georgia, on May 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 7, 1932, William lived a full and meaningful life devoted to faith, family, and service. He worked for many years in the automotive industry as a Parts Manager, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
William was a man of great faith and a loyal member of Landmark Baptist Church in Loganville, Georgia. He was blessed with a beautiful tenor voice and found great joy in singing at church and in local nursing homes, touching many hearts through music. He also had a keen interest in the stock market and enjoyed following its movements with curiosity and insight.
He is survived by his devoted wifeof 73 years, Ann Rawlins McMillian; children Debbie (Jerry) Ertley, Cheryl (Jerry) Kilgo, Nancy (Gary) Tigges, and Bryan (Erica) McMillian; brother, Gene (Donna) McMillian; and eleven grandchildren: Mitch (Jill) Lyle, Josh (Maria) Ertley, Ben (Sarah) Ertley, Candice (Anthony) Lunn, Amber (Steve) Mittelman, Adam (Jayme) Holcombe, Sean (Kim) Kilgo, Eric (Caren) Kilgo,
Ryan (Jessica) Thompson, William "Matt" (Morgan) Thompson, Jeremy (Amy) McMillian, and Steven McMillian. William was also blessed with 22 great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence (Annie Lou) McMillian and his beloved son, William "Mac" Michael McMillian.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate William's life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home on Simonton Road. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 3:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Eternal Hills in Snellville, Georgia.
William leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
