William David McWhorter was born on December 27, 1954 and went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2025. He was 70 years old. He was a retired long time employee of Bunge Foods.
David was a quiet man with a giant sense of humor who was greatly loved and will be missed immeasurably. He was the pied piper with his grandchildren, nieces and nephew and adored by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Thomas "Red" and Geraldine "Jerry" McWhorter.
Survived by his wife of almost 41 years, Elizabeth "Liz" McWhorter, daughter and her husband Sharon and Dave Elmore, sons Thomas McWhorter and Gary McWhorter, grandchildren Mackenzie "Macker" Plutino, Karson Elmore, Victoria McWhorter, Nix McWhorter, Violet McWhorter, sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Gary Jackson, nieces Brooke Melton and Autumn Jackson, nephew Dusty Jackson and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In accordance with David's wishes he will be cremated, and there will be a family gathering at a later date
