In Loving Memory of Tshindibu Muadi Emerance

December 7, 1943 – September 23, 2025

Tshindibu Muadi Emerance was born on December 7, 1943, in Bakwa Ndaba, Congo, to

Albertine Mbuyi and Michel Kabuya. The sixth of eleven children, she grew up surrounded by a

large and lively family, with two brothers and eight sisters. On September 23, 2025, at the age of

81, she entered into eternal rest in Arlington, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dominique Kapiamba, and all of her

siblings except for her cherished sister, Veronique Ntumba, who now carries forward their bond.

A devout believer and faithful servant of God, Mamu Tshi's life was a testimony of love,

generosity, and unwavering faith. She was the heart of her home-welcoming, housing, and

feeding countless family members and friends. Her door was always open, and her embrace

extended far beyond her 13 children, 58 grandchildren, and 70 great-grandchildren. To many

more, she was a mother, grandmother, and source of comfort. She was the first babysitter for

many children in the Dallas–Fort Worth community, and she took joy in nurturing and caring for

every child who crossed her path.

She will forever be remembered for her boisterous laugh that filled a room and shook her whole

body, for her playful teasing and humor, and for her wise counsel that so many sought. She

gave selflessly, never hesitating to share what she had, even if it meant giving the very clothes

off her back. Her strength was matched by her passion-she spoke her mind with honesty,

devotion, and conviction.

She was deeply engaged in the life of the church, participating in the choir, counseling young

women, and encouraging others in their walk with God. Her love for learning, her interest in

politics, and her unwavering devotion to her homeland, Congo, reflected her curiosity and her

pride.

Even in the midst of suffering, Mamu Tshi found reasons to laugh, to praise, and to encourage

others. She was joyful, expressive, authentic, and above all, steadfast in her faith. To her family,

she was the backbone-the one who worked tirelessly to keep everyone connected, the pillar of

strength who reminded all of the importance of love and togetherness.

We rejoice knowing that her laughter and prayers now echo in heaven. We are certain she has

a seat beside Jesus, whom she loved and served faithfully all her days.

She leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured-a sister, her 11 children: Therese

Tshiabu, Christine Ndaya, Francis Kadima, Angelique Yowa, Gode Mbiya, Isabelle Mbuyi,

Michel Kabuya, Jeanine Kanyeba, Jean Paul Lukusa, Mimi Nkengela, and Claudine Tshiala; 58

grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and countless others who called her "Mamu" and "Kaku.

"

Her impact will live on through the lives she touched and the family she held together with such

love.

Christine Ndaya, Francis Kadima, Angélique Yowa, Gode Mbiya, Isabelle Mbuyi, Michel

Kabuya, Jeanine Kanyeba, Jean Paul Lukusa, Mimi Nkengela et Claudine Tshiala ; 58

petits-enfants ; 70 arrière-petits-enfants ; et d'innombrables autres qui l'appelaient « Mamu » et

« Kaku ».
