William Gary Melton

MELTON- William Gary Melton, age 78, of Grayson, Georgia, passed away Wednesday November 26, 2025. A Graveside service will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 1800 Fence Road, Dacula, GA on Saturday December 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Russ Tanner officiating. Gary graduated from Dacula High School in 1965, where he was a president of his senior class and captain of the football team. After graduating, he went to Dekalb Tech. and received his engineering degree. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Reserves for three years. Gary retired from Georgia Power after 40 years of service. Gary was a loving husband, brother, and uncle, who will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Wren (Stanley) Melton, parents Beulah (Price) & William Dewey Melton. He is survived by his siblings Gale (Wayne) Melton Bailey, of Dacula, GA; Anita Kay (Rick) McCormick, of Albuquerque, NM; brother-in-law Ivan (Rita) Stanley, of Eatonton, GA; nieces Victoria McCormick, Chevas Phillips, Nanette Stanley; nephews Will McCormick, Ben McCormick, Levi Stanley; and aunt Fay Melton Arendall.
