William Melvin Obituary

WESTERLY - William (Bill) Francis Melvin, 63 of Westerly, RI, passed away unexpectedly on September 30 in Westerly. He was the loving husband of Laura (Schafer) Melvin. Born in Dorchester, MA on November 20, 1961, he was the son of the late David and Doris (Mawn) Melvin.

Besides his wife, who he adored, he leaves his daughter Liz (Jeff) and son Dave both of Chicago, IL as well as stepchildren Jessica, Brian and grandchildren Victoria and Vivian. Bill is survived by his siblings David (Leigh), Mick (Linda), Tom (Barbara) and Mary (Steve).

Bill grew up in Quincy and Marshfield, MA, graduating from Marshfield High in 1980 and earned his Bachelors Degree at University of Lowell in Mechanical Engineering in 1985.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in deceased's name to the Westerly Ambulance Corps, 30 Chestnut Street, Westerly, RI 02891

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 18 from 12:00 to 4:00pm at the Westerly Yacht Club, 1 Watch Hill Rd, Westerly.
