William F. Mitchell

William F. Mitchell, age 62, of Magnolia, DE, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in Lewes, DE.
The son of the late William Mitchell and Ruby Bibs, William was born in Wilmington, DE in 1960. He attended and graduated from Christiana High School, Class of 1977. After completing his education, William went on to become an entrepreneur and owned his own business.
In his spare time, William loved taking beach getaway trips with his wife, spending time with his granddaughters, and enjoying football games and Nascar races with his many friends.
William was able to help others and give the gift of renewed hope by participating as a donor through the Gift of Life Program, which provides lifesaving transplants and procedures to those with serious medical conditions.
William is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Lewicki) Mitchell, of Magnolia, DE; his son, Billy Mitchell of Magnolia, DE; his daughter, Kimberly Taraila (Timothy) of Georgia; his granddaughters, Riley, Nevaeh, and Kayla of Georgia; and many other extended family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 from 10:30-11:30AM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. A memorial service will begin at 11:30AM.
