Our loving father, William Carl Mock, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Natchez, Mississippi, on February 26, 1951, William was the son of the late Henry Shelton and Gladys Colman Mock. He retired from Sears Roebuck in 1993 and enjoyed a well-earned life of leisure surrounded by friends and family. William loved the simple joys of life-fishing, barbecuing, and spending time with his neighbors. His greatest passion, however, was being a devoted father and "Papaw" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a heart for helping others and never met a stranger. Wherever he went, laughter and good conversation followed. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories through his daughter, Khaisha M. Batiste, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Brandon Carl Mock; his sister, Virginia Ann Mock Bailey; and his brother, Samuel Leroy Mock Jr. Though no service will be held, William's spirit lives on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. New Orleans Funeral and Cremation Service "Celebrating Life"
