William Henry Mohr, 84, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
William was born on April 23, 1941, in Ford City, Pennsylvania, to the late Glenn Mohr and Pauline Michalik Mohr. After graduating from high school, he went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. Much of his adult life was spent in New Orleans, where he built a successful career with Kaiser Aluminum.
Following his retirement in 2007, William and his wife made their home in Warner Robins. There, he became a devoted member of Byron Heritage Church and was a longtime Mason. William had a curious and active spirit; he enjoyed collecting knives and always found ways to stay engaged and on the move. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 64 years, Janice D. Mohr; children, Paula Holliman of Alpharetta, Georgia and William D. Mohr of Rosemary Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Zane and Gracie Holliman; and sister, Cindy Yount (Tom) of Centerville, Georgia, along with many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, a reception will be held at The Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of William Mohr to Byron Heritage Church at 103 W. Heritage Street, Byron, GA 31008 or to Pine Pointe Hospice at 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
