William Jesse Moore, 58, a lifelong resident of D’Iberville, living on the Tchoutacabouffa River all of his life, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 in Ocean Springs.

William was born on October 23, 1966 to Samuel Edward Moore and Helen Louise Lamey Moore. He graduated from D’Iberville High School, Class of 1984. William was a welder by trade. He worked for many years alongside his father who owned and operated S&J Salvage and later was renamed North Bay Auto Salvage in D’Iberville. After his father retired and sold the business, William worked with his cousin, E.J. Hebert doing numerous construction jobs. He also worked at Palmer Tool in Saucier, which specializes in ASME Fabrication and welding.

In 2006, William opened up his own radiator welding repair shop, which was called Moore’s Welding and Radiator.

William’s hobbies included fishing and hunting, running dogs with his buddies, 4 wheeling, playing video games and reading. His greatest love however was reading. He collected thousands of books of all different types of genres, from fantasy, science fiction, nonfiction, historical and the list goes on.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Moore; his mother, Helen Lamey Moore Goff; his paternal grandparents, Jesse Moore and Elaine Moore Rolls; and his maternal grandparents, William “Buck” Lamey and Audrey Cruthirds Lamey.

William is survived by his sisters, Reagan Moore Janca and Lisa Moore (Joel) Waltman; his brother, John (Trisha) Moore; his uncle, David Moore; his aunt, Deborah Moore Descesare; his ex-wife and dear friend, Little Debbie; his nephew, Jacob (Crystal) Waltman; his niece, Lillian Waltman; his half-nieces, Aubree and Macey Moore; and his great nephew and his name sake, Saxon “William” Waltman, whom would sit on the arm of his recliner and eat chicken while watching their favorite show, Swamp People.

Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:30 am. Friends may visit from 10:30 am until service time. Interment will follow at Lamey Cemetery on Lamey Bridge Road.
