William Dennis Morton Sr., 79 of Samsula , Florida, passed away at home on January 30th, 2026.

Born on May 24th, 1946, in Daytona beach Florida. Graduating from mainland high school. He was the owner and operator of Morton A/C for over 40 years. He was also member of the sheet metal union. He had the ability to work on just about anything. He enjoyed working on his son's race cars as well as their friends and uncle's cars when they were growing up. They spent many late nights in the garage working on those cars. He was also Florida gator fan and an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish and hunt. Spending a lot of time with his kids and grandkids in the outdoors from when they were young and as they got older. He enjoyed deer hunting the most and also enjoyed the sound of those walker hounds. Some of his favorite times were with his boys and his buddies hunting in relay, Tomoka, Ocala and later in Georgia. His favorite thing to fish for was sheepshead and mangrove snapper. He also loved pig farming and gardening. He was a great cook and loved him some BBQ. He also loved his grandkids. He was proud of all their accomplishments. From school, sports as well as hunting and fishing.

Predeceased by His father William Morton. His mother Ruth Dewey. Brother George Hirt. Brother James Hirt. Brother Alan Yelvington

Survived by his two sons: Timmy (katy) Morton of Oak Hill and William Morton Jr. (Nicole) Samsula.

Three Grandkids Brennon, Rylee and Kane.

Sister Marjorie Wiggins of Holly Hill; Brother Eddie (Jennifer) Raines of Ormond Beach; Stepsister Linda Uzzle of Daytona beach. As well as many nieces and nephews.

A casual memorial service and BBQ will be Saturday February 28th from12-4pm at Samsula hunt club 989 Hunting Camp Road, New Smyrna Beach, Fl 32168
