William (Bill) Moss,75, of Monroe, NC, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 4pm-6pm at Gordon Funeral Home, 8559 Cook Street, Mt Pleasant, NC 28124.
Bill was born on August 5, 1950 in Charlotte, NC to William Sr, and Jennie L. Moss.
Bill graduated from Garinger High School in 1968, and went to work for BellSouth. After retiring from BellSouth, Bill and his friend, Mike Barrett, opened Midland Engine Machine Shop in Midland, NC. He went on to become a general contractor and home inspector. Bill loved attending drag racing and NASCAR. He also enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with his family.
The family would like to thank the nursing and hospice staff at Pruitt Union Point in Monroe for their wonderful care of Bill while he was there.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, children, Stephanie (Marty) Shue, and Bryan (Connie) Kiker. Grandchildren, Ashley (Lawton) Long, Stephen (Haley) Shue, Caleb (Brooklyn) Shue, Emma Shue, Jaret Kiker. Great grandchildren Rylie and Lyncoln Long, and Colsen Shue.
