Edward Howard Joseph Moss, Jr., 64, passed away suddenly in Shreveport, Louisiana, on May 26, 2025.
Ed was born in Santa Tecla, El Salvador, on March 31, 1961, to Edward H. Moss, Sr., and Margarita “Titia” Rochi Moss. He grew up in El Salvador, then moved to the States to finish high school in his father’s hometown before proudly serving in the U.S. Army from 1980 to 1983. After his military service, Ed spent many years between Louisiana and Texas before making Haughton his home. Ed built a career as an Inventory Specialist and later served as the Deli Manager at County Market Grocery Store in Shreveport.
Ed enjoyed life’s simple moments, including time spent with family and expressing his love through the meals he made for them. He was a great fisherman who appreciated being outdoors and loved watching NASCAR, Formula 1, soccer, and the Cooking Channel.
He is survived by his sister, Marianne Moss Rochi of San Salvador, El Salvador; his brother, Robert Moss and wife Cindy of Sugar Grove, Illinois; his daughter, Marcella Moss of Houston, Texas; and his sons, Dyllon Moss and Robert Joseph Moss (Kayla Hardiman), along with their mother, Keena Brown of Haughton, Louisiana. He is also survived by his nieces, Maria Gabriella and Maria Fernanda, and his nephew, Rafael.
The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses and physicians at Ochsner LSU for their compassionate care and support provided in his final days.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing he is now at peace. Services will be held in El Salvador at a later date.
