William D. Mulyca, 72, died peacefully Sun., Aug. 25, 2024 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY with his family at his side.
He was born in Schenectady on Nov. 3, 1951 to Chester D. and Hazel Jess Mulyca. He was raised in Duanesburg, NY. He attended Mariaville School and graduated from Schalmont High School.
He married Margaret J. Price in East Glenville on Apr. 10, 1976. He and Margaret resided in East Glenville during the early years of their marriage, then moved to Rotterdam, NY.
He worked as a custodian for the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School System for 33 years until he retired in 2014.
He enjoyed motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, gardening activities, and decorating for the holidays.
He and Margaret were active members of Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church for many years.
William was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret and his sister, Joyce Hollenbeck. He is survived by his two sons, Craig of Rotterdam and Bobby of Castleton. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Walter and Harry from Winston, Salem, NC; Ronald from Amsterdam, NY; Patricia Ross and Nancy Loomis from Kilgore, TX; Laurie Brasher from Longview, TX; Irene from Fultonville, NY; Daniel from Bremerton, WA; Helen Wright from Sheldahl, IA; Wendy Mulyca from Wilmington, OH; Anna Mulyca from Haines, AK; and John from Glenville, NY.
The viewing will take place at Bond's Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY on Fri., Aug. 30th, 6-8 pm. The Funeral will take place on Sat., Aug. 31st, at 10:30 am at 6512 Western Turnpike, Duanesburg, NY, with burial in the church cemetery following the service.
