William D. Mumert, 49, of Topeka passed away on March 26, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. William was born March 22, 1976 in Topeka the son of Larry and Laura (Vawter) Mumert. He was raised at Mayetta and graduated from Royal Valley in 1994. William completed training in the Diesel mechanic program at Kaw Valley Vo-Tech in Topeka. He worked at Bimbo Bakery and maintenance supervisor over 15 years. He knew no strangers, loved to give people a hard time, he will be remembered as a fun guy and very ornery. Will enjoyed spending time with family having family get togethers for BBQ and just fun times.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, collecting tools, and guns and working in his shop. He had disassembled several tractors, put them back together and painted them. William loved his grandkids and would give rides to them, just part of spoiling his great grandkids silly. He was a very good at shooting pool and card player.

William married the love of his life Debbie on April 18 2009 they shared a very special love.

Survivors include wife Debbie of Topeka; son, William Mumert of Topeka, daughters, Jennifer Luck (Walker) of Topeka, Michelle Hutchinson (Scott) of Wellsville, Kansas; parents, Larry and Laura Mumert of Topeka; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Madison, Maisie, Augustus, Alexandra, Maverick and Addison; five, great grandchildren, Daniel, Matteo, Hudson, Aegon and Amelia; sister-in-law Terry and nephew Kevin.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 2nd at Parker-Price and Davidson Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 245 NW Independence, Topeka Kansas 66608. Memorial services will follow beginning at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice House, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
